Rocky Gap and Baltimore, MD – 29 Aug - 9 Sep, 2009

While Dahlia flew from London to Tel Aviv, Israel for two weeks, Lance flew from London to Washington, DC on 29 Aug. In Washington his son Steve met him and together they drove to Rocky Gap Sate Park in Western Maryland to meet the rest of the family. Sue’s and Denise’s family, Steve and Lance were distributed between three, rather primitive, cabins in the woods. We spent the next three days with doing cook outs, participating in Ranger activities including animal petting and karaoke, a corn shucking contest and canoeing. We all had a great time.
After we left Rocky Gap we drove to Baltimore and it seemed to be one birthday party after another. First was Kate’s three year old birthday with lots of kids her age running around and playing games. Then there was Grace’s six year old party with her, totally different, types of friends. Then there was a surprise party for Sue for her 40th Birthday, where we had a large group of her friends in the garage of a neighbor and they we all sneaked in the back door of her house and yelled “Surprise!” when she walked in. All together it was a wonderful time! On 9 Sep Lance regrettably had to leave to go back home after a very nice week.
