Baltimore Family Visit - 2-14 July 2008

We arrived in Washington, DC (on two different flights) and drove to Catonsville, MD (a suburb of Baltimore) at a house exchange not far from the house of Lance’s daughter Denise. The house was very nice and we had a wonderful ten days there, visiting the children and grandchildren, going to a Fourth of July parade and taking the grandchildren to a museum and aquarium. A highlight was staying overnight with Amanda (17), Grace (5) and Kate (2) while their parents, Sue and Paul, took a badly need two night vacation at Cape May, NJ. The second weekend Lance’s brother Dave, his wife Kathy and son Gavin came down from New Jersey and we held a memorial for Lance’s mother Gertrude who had passed away two weeks earlier at the age of 95.
